A Big Fun Day
Yesterday was a Big Fun Day. Big Fun Days are ones where we get to do extra-special stuffs. Don’t get me wrong: I love myself a good nap but Big Fun Days only come along once in a while.
So what was the Big Fun, you ask? WE WENT TO GRAMMA AND PAPPY’S HOUSE!! My cousin #lukethebageldor gotted to go too.
I was so sure it was going to be fun that I almost smiled in da car. Almost…. Luke always smiles in da car. Luke pretty much always smiles. He doesn’t know how to work the camera like me.
Since dis was only the Pook’s second time there, I had to show him what to do. Da first thing to do when you get to Gramma and Pappy’s is give them bunches of kisses. The next thing you do is go to da back porch with Pappy and get a cookie. I showed Lukie where da cookies are. Then after cookie-time, we have to go in da yard and poop. It’s all da excitement; just can’t help it. (Mama didn’t take a poop picture, sorry.) I didn’t have to tell Lukie about da excitement-poop. He seemed to knowed dat already.
Next we has to go back inside to be sure mama and Aunt Kelly is still there. When it’s warm outside and mama is gonna do da swim, mama goes outside with me again. First she has to put da lotion on her so the sun doesn’t burn her skin. She doesn’t have a fur coat to wear (poor hoomans). If I am gonna do da swim, she puts lotion on my snout but I wasn’t gonna do da swim so I just waited for her to hurry up and go outside already. Me and Luke had tings to do! Sniff, lay in the shade, roll in da grass. Important stuffs.
Once we’s outside, we explore da big yard and say hi to da dogs next door. Gramma and Pappy’s yard has two kinds of fun. One part is grassy like mama’s but the other part has sticks and trees and rocks and so many fun things to sniff. Dat’s where da squirrels live. One day I will catch one…. This time I only found my old ball to chew it up. Luke went to check out the pool but he didn’t want to do da swim either. He forgets he’s part Lab and is s’posed to like to swim. I like to do da swim at the lake where I can walk. Da pool is kinda scary.
When da hoomans are done with da swim, dey go inside to make dinner. Dis the best part. Pappy made me and Lukie our very own piece of chicken on da grill dis time. Last time he forgotted and he had to share his. We helped Gramma inside.
At dinner-time, I showed Pook da prime dinner seating but he didn’t get it at first. Dude, ALWAYS sit next to Pappy. ALWAYS.
Da hoomans ate and den mama and Aunt Kelly made our dinner with our own chicken. (I still gotted some of Pappy’s though.) After da dinner, Luke finally got da dinner seating message. A little too late but I’ll help him better next time. Or maybe he needs to learn dat one on his own. The longer it takes for him to figure it out, the better it is for me, after all.
